Old 16 Mile doublet 14k ring origin story
Towards the end of the video you can see a handful of doublets.There are a couple that were made specifically with the opal from the pocket we found at the beginning, and subsequently end up in the ring that is the subject of the video. Just to clarify, as it is a bit hard to follow the course of the stones through the video, epecially when they essentially turn into 'black opal' albeit, doublets.. -

Making an opal ring from Old 15 Mile shell skins
In this video I select, shape, cut, polish and set a stone we mined on the Old 15 Mile opal field of Coober Pedy Australia about a year or so ago. This piece is set in 14 karat solid yellow gold and was a custom order, very rare these days!
